View Image Gallery:  Vijay Biography: Vijay was born on June-22-1974 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a Tamil film actor and mainly works in South Indian film Industry and also Bollywood movies. He is also a film producer and playback singer. Vijay is tall actor with a height 5 feet 9 inches. He is extremely brilliant, over-confident and hardworking looks like first time film actor. Vijay was born to S.A. Chandrasekhar, is a film director and producer and mother Shoba Chandrasekhar, is a playback singer. His sister name is Vidhya Chandrasekhar, who died at the age of two and his first debut movie ‘Naalaiya Theerpu’ released in 1992 as an actor and for the movie, he won the Cinema Express Award for new Face- Tamil. Vijay is married to Sangeeta Sornalingam and they have two children, their names are Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha.
Vijay Education: He joined Loyola College for Visual Communications in Chennai, but dropped out of the college.
Vijay Career: Vijay began his career in 1984 Tamil movie ‘Vetri’ as a child actor and his first debut movie ‘Naalaiya Theerpu’ released in 1992 as a film actor. The movie was directed by his father S.A. Chandrasekhar and produced by his mother Soba Chandrasekhar. The movie features: Vijay, Kerthana, Srividya, Radharavi and Sarath Babu. After released the movie was success at the box office and for  the movie, he won the Cinema Express Award for new Face- Tamil.
He has doing so many movies, such as ‘Sendhoorapandi’, opposite co-stars: Vijayakanth and Gouthami Tadimalla. His next released movie ‘Rasigan’ in 1994, opposite stars: Sanghavi and Srividya. In 1995, Tamil movie ‘Devaa’, opposite co-stars: Sivakumar and Swathi.
Vijay most successful movie ‘Kadhalukku Mariyadhai’ released in 1997. The movie was directed by Fazil and produced by Sangili Murugan. The movie features: Vijay, Shalini, after released the movie was great success at the box office and for the movie, he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor and Cinema Express Award for Best Actor.
In 2002, He has also brand ambassador of Coca Cola’s and also acted in so many South Indian Coca Cola advertisements. He has also star ambassador for Indian Premier League for team Chennai Super Kings with Tollywood actress Nayanthara. Vijay was also joined the Indian National Congress in 2009.
