| Bappi Lahiri or Alokesh Lahiri (Date of Birth 27-Nov-1952) is an Indian Music Director and singer of Bollywood Industry. He was born in Kolkata, India and tall actor with a height 5ft 5 inches. Bappi Lahiri is the son of Aparesh Lahiri and Bansari Lahiri. He was most famous in the 1980s and 1990s with film songs like Wardat, Disco Dancer, Commando, Dance Dance, Namak Halaal, Sharaabi and others. He has also joined BJP in 2014 and also won the BJP Candidate from Srirampur in West Bengal. Bappi Lahiri is married to Chitrani and they have two children; their names are Reema Lahiri, who is also a singer and married to Govind Bansali, is a businessman and his son Bappa Lahiri, who is also a music director and married to Tanisha Varma. His first debut film Morcha relased in 1980 as a music director. He has also composed music for so many successful films such as Wardat (1981), Chalte Chalte (1976), Disco Dancer, Guru, Himmatwalla, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Commando, Zindagi Ek Juaa. Bappi Lahiri got a great talent in music director and singer. He has worked so many Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali movies and still continuing his passion towards Hindi film Industry.
